Today, Professor Rodriguez has over 19 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, co-occurring disorders, criminal offenders, and families in treatment facilities thru-out Florida and the Northeast. Professor Rodriguez specializes in addictions and mental health disorders; in particular, psychosis, mood, trauma, sexuality, and family of origin issues. Professor Rodriguez is Board Certified & Licensed in Florida as a Master's Level Addictions Professional, Mental Health Professional, Criminal Justice Counselor, Addictions Professional, and Preventions Specialist.
Professor Rodriguez holds an Education Specialist in Clinical Mental Health, he holds a Master's & Bachelor's degrees from Union Institute & University in Clinical Addictions & Mental Health, with a focus on Human & Psychological Development, his graduate studies included Educational Psychology & Social Justice.
He has continued to enhance his clinical skills in areas of couples counseling, neuroscience, biological psychology, human development, criminology, human sexuality, and behavioral analysis. Professor Rodriguez provides individual, group therapy and, relationship & couple's therapy in private practice.

Professor Nelms has over 10 yrs. of experience working in all aspects of the treatment field, she has extensive knowledge in areas of human psychopathology, addictions counseling, and human development. Prof. Nelms has a great passion for teaching future professionals the tools to be successful in their endeavors. She also brings a wealth of clinical experience to our curriculum.
